Role:

I worked as a producer and content creator for travel influencer Caleb Thill’s vertical series “Richer-Poorer.” The series follows two friends on a trip to Mérida, Mexico, one traveling on a $300 budget and the other on an $1,800 budget. As part of production, I helped build the itineraries for both travelers based on their drastically different budgets. I also created video content for influencer @lilymontasser’s portion of the series.

Background:

For this vertical travel series, I was tasked with the unique challenge of sourcing restaurants, bars, hotels, attractions, and transportation options that fit within both a high and low budget. The goal of the series was to show what a trip to Mérida looks like at two very different price points, which made the production process both exciting and creatively demanding.

Both the high-budget traveler (@calebthill) and the low-budget traveler (@lilymontasser) needed to document their daily experiences and spending using iPhone footage. I filmed and produced the content for the lower-budget traveler, accompanying @lilymontasser throughout her journey in Mérida. The footage needed to feel carefree and fun while still being informative, capturing the charm, spontaneity, and occasional chaos of traveling through beautiful Mérida on a tight budget.

These clips were later edited together into a four-part vertical series on @calebthill’s Instagram.
